A skilled mechanical role working predominantly on the servicing, repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles, including engines and driveline systems, with some trailer work included. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in doing the job properly and keeping customers safe and compliant on the road.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Servicing and repairing HGV vehicles with a focus on mechanical and engine systems
- Working on engines, gearboxes, axles and associated vehicle components
- Carrying out diagnostics and fault-finding
- Completing general mechanical repairs
- Preparing vehicles for MOT
- Supporting trailer servicing and repairs when required
- Attending vehicle breakdowns when needed
- Changing tyres using workshop equipment
- Using workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly
